Jane Peranteau has taught, written and published professionally for more than twenty years.  She holds master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Oregon in communication and community and individual development.

She has taught classes including social movements, gender and communication, interpersonal communication, and organizational development at the University of Oregon, Lewis & Clark College, and McDaniel College.

Her work has taken her into urban neighborhoods marginalized by race, ethnicity, age and poverty in order to help develop their ability to have a voice in the decisions that shape their lives.  She has worked with women, youth, seniors, intravenous drug users, and those living with HIV/AIDS.

 

Jumping is her first novel and is part of a series of books on the Void.

She currently resides in central New Mexico.

Jumping is the winner of Hampton Roads’ 2013 Next Best Fiction Writer’s contest and will be published in November of 2014.
